Every cycling day will be different, but expect around 80 miles per day, with a 100 mile century ride on the penultimate day. 

Feeling a bit overwhelmed about 400 miles? Here are some milestones to shoot for.

  • 3 months out Goal: complete 4 short, 3 medium, and 1 long-distance ride, including one with 1,000 feet of elevation gain.

  • 2 months out Goal: complete 6 short, 4 medium, and 5 long-distance rides (2 long-distance rides back-to-back) including one with 2,000 feet of elevation gain.

  • 1 month out Goal: complete 6 short, 4 medium, and 8 long-distance rides (all back-to-back) including one with 3,000 feet of total elevation gain.
