This June we'll be cycling more than 400 miles across Washington State to raise money for refugees that are arriving to the Pacific Northwest. This journey from Seattle to Tri Cities to Spokane is sure to be difficult and rewarding, and cyclists hope that their demonstration and the money they raise will say that:
"Washington WELCOMEs REFUGEES"
This incredible feat of endurance, strength, and community is only possible with a dedicated team of volunteers. It's sure to be an adventure!
Take a look at the volunteer roles and let us know if you'd like to join the journey. Let us know also if you have any other applicable skills, like experience with bike repair, first aid or medical training, massage or physical therapy training, a rig with a trailer or bike rack, a connection to local bike shops, or a propensity toward comic relief. You can learn more about the ride here.
Our volutneer mechanic positions are essential for keeping our riders safe and comfy on the road. See the Cyclist Support Team Volunteer for basic information, and email us if you think you'd like to be an STK mechanic!
Our volunteer photographer documents the ride for riders to be able to relive the adventure AND so that we can bring our community of friends, family, and partners into the fun, beauty, and meaning behind it all. See the Cyclist Support Team Volunteer description for basic information and email us if you think you'd like to be the STK photographer!
